我是有些邪恶的--好莱坞性感女星Grace Park采访

(2007年3月29日,澳大利亚)如果你是著名的科幻系列电视剧“太空堡垒-卡拉迪加”的忠实观众,那你对于Grace Park一定不会陌生。很明显,由她扮演的神奇的Athena的角色,牢牢的吸引了所有人的注意力,同时她还被塑造成了著名游戏命令与征服3的影片中
的主角。在这篇对她的采访当中,她谈论了她从电视向游戏电影转型的感受,她的性格,以及跟Michael Ironside和Billy Dee Williams等人共事的一些经历。

Grace Park:你好!

IGN:命令与征服3的导演准备如何处理和布置其中的各个细节,包括音乐,色彩等?传统上,类似的作品多少会有些粗制滥造的感觉,你是怎么看的呢?
Grace Park:虽然他是基于游戏背景的尝试性的影片,但和你说的其他作品并不一样,在细节方面,它做的相当不错。

IGN:你曾经和Billy Dee Williams一起工作过,是吗?

Grace Park: 好的,我扮演的是Sandra Telfair,她是全球防御阵线GDI冉冉升起的一颗新星。她不仅管理GDI行政方面的事情,还在GDI军事策略和作战计划的制定中扮演重要角色,是Granger将军的左膀右臂,她的忠诚和不可琢磨的气质使得很多的人开始信任并且加入GDI。


IGN:为一款游戏拍摄一些场景、影片是不是和你近来的电视剧的工作有些类似呢?
Grace Park: 是的,我觉得非常类似。我的意思是说因为有Michael在一起帮忙,我可以不用总是一个人,不用独自面对一个绿屏或者是一个摄像机镜头说话。但也有不同的地方,一般一个电视剧的剧情在拍摄之前,就有剧本规范好了,你没有太多的选择,他们也总是在你自己的思考之前就把一切都安排好了,而在游戏电影中,你可以不断在你的大脑中构思你的创意,也许,那就是下一步剧情的发展。
       

IGN:你已经从一个主要做科幻小说展示的表演到专注于从事科幻游戏的演出的过渡,为什么做这样的选择呢?
Grace Park:对于我来说,我是真的对于普及和实施民权的成功产生了浓厚的兴趣,并且非常渴望投身到这个运动中去,因为通过“太空堡垒”这部电视剧,我发现,不断投入和深入的做某一件是非常有趣的,而不是总是做一些你没有准备而不得不做的事情,那样,你会发现事情总是做的不顺利!很幸运的是,我做的大部分事都很不错,并且在不同领域有不同的履历对我是一笔很不错的经验。

IGN:你还会再从事这样的工作吗?
Grace Park:如果有合适的很好的游戏,我肯定还是会尝试的。

IGN:作为一款游戏,命令与征服3是不是已经超越了传统游戏的简单意义,开始成为好莱坞更加关注游戏业发展的契机?你会再尝试其他游戏电影的角色吗?
Grace Park: 我非常肯定的认为好莱坞越来越关注游戏的发展了,诸如Steven Spielberg,Jerry Bruckheimer,John Woo等著名的大导演都开始更多的关注制作游戏或者是基于游戏背景的电影。在好莱坞有个很好的习惯,对于可以丰富他们的电影故事题材,有助于帮助他们创作剧本的资源,他们都越来越来开放的接受并进行一些尝试。

IGN:最后,我想问,你在命令与征服3中的角色会像在“太空堡垒”中的那样双面和些许邪恶吗?
Grace Park:如果你从电影中手足情意的角度出发,你也许会认为我是有些邪恶的!但是我的性格在经过那部影片的洗礼后变得有些接近她————那就是为自己认为正确的事情而战斗!

Australia, March 29, 2007 - For fans of the supremely fine science fiction series (remake) 'Battlestar Galactica', actress Grace Park should be a familiar face. Her role as the mysterious Lt. Sharon 'Athena' Agathon obviously grabbed the right people's attention, as she has been cast in a leading role in Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. In her interview, she discusses her transition from TV to games, her character, and what it was like to work with Michael Ironside and Billy 'Lando Calrissian' Dee Williams.




IGN: Were you familiar with the structure of the series' reliance on video introductions and segments, going in?

Grace Park: I didn't know of it when I was first introduced, but when I was asked about the game I was quickly told about the real-time strategy and how the player interacts with the commands and other players as well… I think!

IGN: So I take it you're not much of a gamer! Were you asked to play the game before you recorded your scenes?

Grace Park: Not really. They didn't ask me to play the game - I think that would've been fun to do; but actually I'm really curious about what the game's gonna be like to play now. Obviously, being involved with it, I'd like to see how it plays out. And I guess then only way is to play it, right? Because you've got to get to the next level in order to see the next part of the story!

IGN: What kind of tone was the director going for in the C&C 3 cutscenes? Traditionally, they've been a little B-grade and cheesy. How did you find it?

Grace Park: They definitely went for more realistic, and I think that it played out really well because of the nature of the two sides at war with each other. It lends itself to better storytelling when you're going for a little more 'serious'. I mean, the fact is you're not going to get away from the fact that it's a videogame, but some of the characters are a little more flamboyant and passionate.

To me, I figure kudos to them for going out on a limb and being more daring. That really shows a little more flair.

IGN: You were working with Billy Dee Williams, right?

Grace Park: Actually, I was working with Michael Ironside, but I was actually speaking of Billy Dee Williams! I wanted to go back and re-shoot all my stuff after seeing his.

How was Michael Ironside to work with? Anything like the tough characters he usually plays?

Grace Park: Oh, he's very fun and I think that because he was in a very military suit, he was having a heck of a time! We were having a lot of fun on set and he was very well receiving of me as a newer actor. We had a great time on set.

IGN: Tell us about the character you play in C&C 3.

Grace Park: Well, I'm playing Lt. Sandra Telfair and she's a rising star on the GDI side. She's not just an admin - she very much a part of the military tactics and planning. She's General Granger's right-hand person and she's very loyal and structured, which probably makes it easier for the player to believe in the GDI.

IGN: Was the process of filming scenes for a game similar to your recent TV work?

Grace Park: Yeah, I think it was pretty similar; I mean, I got to work with Michael, so I wasn't just doing it by myself and talking to a green-screen or a camera lens. But the difference was, we had a little bit of teleprompter and we were talking to a camera. I think it was pretty good, until I'd catch a glimpse of myself reflected in the camera at a certain angle and I'd be like, "Ahhhh!" And that would throw me off. But other than that, they created a set and they had their little green-screen which makes it that much easier to interact with what's in front of you, not just creating things in your head.

IGN: You've gone from doing a top-rating sci-fi show to a top-rating sci-fi game. Why now, and why this series?

Grace Park: For me, I was really intrigued by the success of the franchise and really eager to be a part of that, because besides 'Battlestar', it's fun to be able to branch out and to be a part of something that has a following already. Not that I always have to do things with a following - it can work against you! Luckily for us, it's mostly been pretty good. It was an experiment in a way and it was fun to be able to work on something different.

IGN: Would you do it again?

Grace Park: If the right videogame comes along, absolutely.

IGN: For a game, C&C3 has quite the cast - is Hollywood starting to see the appeal of gaming? Would you try your hand at other game roles?

Grace Park: I definitely think that Hollywood is looking more towards games. Steven Spielberg and Jerry Bruckheimer and John Woo are all going towards making games or movies based on videogames. That's a pretty clear sign that Hollywood is more open to a different source for their entertainment and their story-building.

IGN: Finally, I have to ask - does your character in G&C 3 turn out to be twisted and evil, like your character in 'Battlestar Galactica'?

Grace Park: Well, if you're in the Brotherhood of NOD, then you might think I'm evil! But my character has weighed it all out and that makes it much easier for her - she really does believe that she's fighting for the right cause.

IGN: Thanks for your time, Grace.
